Founded in April 2018, and based in Geneva, Switzerland, MIKAJAKI, SA is a privately held company that is supported by Innosuisse and powered by FONGIT Innovation Incubator. MIKAJAKI is actively partnering with ophthalmic clinic groups globally to test and implement EyeLib™. Behind the clear vision of founders Michael Assouline, MD, PhD, and Jacky Hochner, MIKAJAKI has set out to revolutionize ophthalmic diagnostics. They are bringing together the best people to build the most advanced eye health automized products in the market to support MD diagnostics.
Over 20 years of senior management experience in sales, marketing and corporate development in ophthalmology. Former Director of Business Development, Dir. of North America for Visionix, a major player in ophthalmic instruments. Dr. Michael Assouline and Jacky Hochner have identified the need for a disruptive solution, each from his perspective. New technologies should save money at each level on the food chain (state, insurance, medical practice, patient), enable doctors to see more patients, and provide a higher level of care. Unfortunately, this is not the current reality, and this is what led to the creation of MIKAJAKI.
The EyeLib™ robotic station is the first automated system to perform a comprehensive eye health checkup and generate the patient’s ophthalmic objective data. The EyeLib™ 3D full-body scan and face morphometry ensure rapid and optimal ergonomics and identification for all patients. EyeLib™ then uses state of the art opto-electronic devices to perform hundreds of eye measurements in just 6 minutes.
